Reid’s Place is a hidden suburban gem in Scarborough on Redcliffe Peninsula. A short walk from Scarborough’s waterfront restaurants, café’s, beach and boardwalks. Redcliffe Entertainment Centre is a 5-minute drive or taxi from Reid’s Place to enjoy theatre shows or performances. Reid’s Place is 6 – minute drive or taxi to Kayo Stadium which hosts home games for the Redcliffe Dolphins (NRL) and Brisbane Roar (A-League). Our street location is 377 Scarborough Road, Scarborough 4020.
How far is Reid’s Place from the domestic airport and Brisbane CBD?
Reid’s Place is a comfortable 30-minute drive from Brisbane domestic airport and a 40-minute drive from Brisbane CBD. The Kippa Ring train station is a short 10-minute park and ride from Reid’s Place to train into Brisbane CBD.
Is there carparking at Reid’s Place?
Complimentary street parking outside Reid’s Place homestead and Camellia Cottages is available for all guests at Reid’s Place. Caravan parking is not advisable on the street outside Reid’s Place.
Does Reid’s Place provide wedding catering?
Reid’s Place does not offer wedding reception catering or high tea catering for wedding ceremonies. Reid’s place is a dedicated private and boutique garden chapel wedding ceremony venue and superior bed and breakfast accommodation host.
Reid’s Place is happy for wedding couples to contract outside catering businesses to host wedding receptions in the outdoor Fountain Courtyard at Reid’s Place. Reid’s Place is licensed to trade till 6pm seven days a week for all weddings and / or catered wedding receptions. Reid’s Place will require a venue hire bond and it will be returned in full if the Fountain Courtyard venue is left in the same condition as it was hired. Is Reid’s Place licensed?
Reid’s Place is BYO and can store, chill and serve your alcoholic beverages at Reid’s Place for wedding celebrations.
Is the wedding celebrant included in your wedding packages?
Reid’s Place wedding packages exclude a wedding celebrant. It is such a personal choice for wedding couples, and your ceremony should reflect your own individuality and be a statement of who you are as a couple. Choose and provide your own celebrant and make your marriage ceremony something you will cherish forever.
Is the wedding photographer included in your wedding packages?
Reid’s Place wedding packages exclude a wedding photographer. It is such a personal choice for wedding couples. Your wedding day photographer should reflect your own individuality and style as a couple. Choose and provide your own photographer to make your wedding photos memorable, unique and an experience you will enjoy.
Does Reid’s Place allow the throwing of rice tradition at garden chapel wedding ceremonies?
We encourage the use of fresh rose petals for the “petal photography shot” and bubbles. Reid’s Place does not allow confetti, rice, paper party poppers or silk petals.
Can I have guests prepare with me in Camellia Cottage on the day of my wedding?
Camellia Cottage is available when the Ultimate Wedding Package is purchased. One of the Camellia cottages is made available to the bride and bridesmaids, hair stylist and makeup artist to prepare on the wedding day. No party’s or extra guests are allowed in Camellia Cottage unless written permission is requested and provided by Reid’s Place management.
Wedding night accommodation which is also included as part of the Ultimate wedding Package is for the bridal couple only. No wedding night party’s or extra guests are allowed in Camellia Cottage unless written permission is requested and provided by Reid’s Place management.
What are Reid’s Place wedding package confirmation, payment and deposit terms and conditions?
Reid’s Place requires a 25% deposit to secure your chosen wedding date. Unfortunately, failure to secure your booking may result in the loss of your requested date. This deposit is transferable should your date change, but it is not refundable.
Tentative wedding bookings will be held for two weeks only. Failure to contact Reid’s Place by that time will result in automatic cancellation of the booking.
If your wedding is cancelled 6 months from your wedding date, we are happy to refund your deposit.
Payment in full 4 weeks prior to your wedding date is required. EFT and credit card payment are available. A 3% surcharge applies to all credit card payments.
All prices include GST.
All wedding details should be confirmed four weeks before your wedding date.
Rose petals and bubbles are permitted; however, we request that no confetti, rice, silk flowers or paper party poppers be used in or around Reid’s Place.
All wedding ceremonies and third party catered wedding receptions held on the grounds of Reid’s Place are to be finished by 6pm Monday – Sunday at Reid’s Place.
We only allow booked guests in our B&B cottages and do not permit parties. We ask all guests to be considerate of others by drinking responsibly and moderating alcohol intake and music volume. All Reid’s Place advertised prices are subject to change and availability.
Does Reid’s Place offer gift vouchers?
Yes, Reid’s Place provides e-gift vouchers to purchase for Camellia Cottage B&B accommodation.
A perfect gift for any special occasion or as a wedding present. E-gift vouchers are valid for 6 months after purchase date and can be emailed directly to the recipient or back to the purchaser.
